It was a brilliant night. We ended up walking round the pitch at the start of the match as they moved us into the chicken run - great atmosphere.

Joe Cole was on another level and ran the show. Carrick scored a good goal too. The future seemed very rosy!

And Coventry's captain that night was Calum Davenport.

99 v Coventry was fucking superb. Loads couldn't get in and people were walking around the pitch. Coventry had about EIGHT fans in the TBU corner. Coventry didn't expect that, they didn't know what had hit them.

I wanted to do the away leg, club didn't run coaches but a fair few were up there.

Great times.

According to the Bindipper Echo prior to the semi final the 2 leg final will be on BT Sport, still fancy going though

"Tonight’s game at Rush Green Stadium kicks off at 7pm and is live on LFC TV. The winner will play Hull City in a two-legged final broadcast live on BT Sport."

Reckon I'll have some of this. Today was pencilled in as my last at the ground, so made sure it was east stand, like my first in 17th may 1984. Took some pics of the old place for the record. Mad to think it's been 32 years man and boy.

Hopefully they announce it soon. Had a ticket for the game tomorrow but cant go at the last minute so this might be my last chance to say goodbye to The Boleyn if I am unsuccessful in the ballots.
